I needed (wanted) a new door mat, but our entry way is carpeted so it needed to be really thin for when you open the door. I found this outdoor mat on sale at Target. I made a stencil from some poster board and just got craft paint to paint it with from Hobby Lobby. I used some cheap foam brushes to paint it with. Total cost was about $9. You can use interior paint. I think it would be more durable, but I didn't want to spend the money.
Sharing Craftiness
Since we can't get together as often as we would like, this blog is to help us share some of the things that we create.

Some Sunshine
These pots were just some old plastic pots I had. They were pretty faded from the sun and just did not look good anymore. I got some spray paint for plastic at Lowes for $4 and here you go. This was 2 coats of paint. I love seeing the bright color everyday.
Window Herb Garden
This is my kitchen herb garden. I grew the plants from seeds (accept for the rosemary that is dying...but I'm trying here dang it!) There are chives, but they aren't big enough to pot yet. It's a tension curtain rod I got at Target and I found the little buckets in the dollar spot at Target just a few days ago. I saw this idea on Pinterest. See, all this time on there is paying off. :)

Some Stuff
I lost my camera and didn't find it until recently so here is some of what I've been doing...
A birthday calendar for Kathy - This was a lot easier than I thought that it would be.
A knitted manatee for dad for Christmas.
Doug and Emyli modeling the smitten that I knitted. This was probably my favorite project lately.
A little Danish flag garland for a friend of ours who served his mission in Denmark.
I know you guys have been doing SOMETHING... post it!
