Sharing Craftiness

Since we can't get together as often as we would like, this blog is to help us share some of the things that we create.

Some Stuff

I lost my camera and didn't find it until recently so here is some of what I've been doing...

A birthday calendar for Kathy - This was a lot easier than I thought that it would be.

A knitted manatee for dad for Christmas.

Some bow ties... The top one was for Doug and the other two were for his dad for Christmas

Doug and Emyli modeling the smitten that I knitted.  This was probably my favorite project lately.

A little Danish flag garland for a friend of ours who served his mission in Denmark.
I know you guys have been doing SOMETHING... post it!

Go Packers!!!

So these were supposed to be for Danny's birthday, but I was lame and didn't finish them on time, even though I started them in November.  Anyway, they are a special request from him to match his Packers coat. Thanks Doug, for being my model.

And here is Doug trying to be Napoleon Dynamite.

Doug's Seat Cover

You guys are lame for not posting anything on the blog for two months.  I've worked on projects, but haven't finished any....so here is my first finished project since the bunny hat.  Doug's old seat cover looked just as bad as his seat does, so we decided to make a new one.  With the old one as a pattern, I made this fabulous one and  I made a few improvements.

It fits tighter now and there is a notch for the key part so he can lift the seat up to fill up with gas.  Go me!  The fabric that we got is like a table cloth so it's water resistant.  The only bad thing is that it's a little slippery so Doug slides around a little.

Bunny Hat

I have a friend who just had a baby so I made her this little hat. It knitted up super quick and I think it turned out really cute with the ribbons.  The blog is getting lonely so get going on making your stuff ladies!

Stuff I made for Christmas

Here are the things I couldn't show because they were Christmas presents.

I got the patterns to crochet these off of Ravelry. There is a small Totoro and and Ponyo and a big Totoro.

This pattern I also got from Ravelry and Maddy loves it!

I made this skirt from a pattern that Molly sent to me. All from leftover fabrics and fabrics from Goodwill.

This hat I just made up and it didn't turn out perfectly but not bad for something I made up. It's the triforce from Zelda.

Sewing Maniac!

I've been doing a lot of sewing for Christmas presents lately.  Here are a couple of bags that I've done.  They are the same on the outside, but the linings and straps are different.

And here are some pajama pants that I made for Emyli.  Kathy took her to the fabric store and let her pick out some fat quarters.  I couldn't figure out what else to do with them, so I just put all the pieces together to make pjs.  Here is the front:

And here is the back:

They're pretty ugly, but Emyli loves them.  I've still got three more pairs of pajama pants to sew for Christmas presents for friends and I'm also working on some knitting for Christmas gifts as well.  I'll post pictures of those as soon as I'm done!
