Quilling

So, I started doing some quilling. Quilling is a paper craft where you curl paper strips and shape them. I'm making some Christmas ornaments. Mostly snowflakes, but I've been trying other shapes too. I'm trying to do some gold glittered one's, but I hate when the glitter falls off so I might have to skip those because I haven't figured out how to keep the glitter from falling off yet. I've tried different gold paper, but there to thick and don't curl well. The top right red one is the first one I did, the poinsettia flower has 3 layers that you can't see well in the picture and the last one is 3D and took a couple hours to make. :)

  2. Nice job! FYI there are gold edged papers and metallic gold quilling strips available at many on line quilling stores including my own. Stop by to visit and browse through the free quilling patterns and instruction sheets on my web site and my blog www.quillingwithwhimsiquills.blogspot.som.

  4. The Austrians use very thin wood shavings to quill Christmas ornaments. They are traditional and gorgeous. They generally leave them the natural color. The ones you have made are beautiful!
