Sharing Craftiness

Since we can't get together as often as we would like, this blog is to help us share some of the things that we create.

Braided Ball and PJ Shorts

These are PJ shorts that the kids sewed mostly by themselves. I did the casing for the elastic and the hem at the bottom. And yes, you guessed it, the fabric is from Goodwill and these shorts cost less than a dollar. PJ shorts make more sense in AZ. On Sunday Sept. 19th it was 108 degrees for the high. What the hell?

I knitted this ball. It was a no-brainer which is nice because I could pick it up any time during the day and work on it. I am making a few presents for Christmas this year to save money and use up yarn and to keep myself from dying of boredom. This is for Elliott. I am going to put a bell on the inside so it jingles. A lot of the things I am making now I can't show because they are Christmas presents and the kids look at this blog. I also crocheted something for mom for her b-day and I can't show that.

  1. Manda, I just saw that ball on Ravelry and thought it was flippin sweet and added it to my queue. Also, tell the kids good job. Those short are also flippin sweet.

  2. The braided ball was fun and easy (and it can used leftover yarn easily) to make but it was a little bigger than I would've liked. I think if I make another one I won't cast on so many stitches or do so many rows.

  3. I like it too. I'm going to make some for the kids cause they like balls but they're not allowed to play with the plastic ones in the house.

  4. Haley, you should look on ravelry cause they have knitted eyeballs that your kids will love. At least my kids really like them. And they take me about a hour to knit up and use scraps I already have and you can make them just soft or you could put beans in them if you wanted to.
